Youth Programs:

Color Guard:
   National, State & Chapter growth since initiated in 1989. Chapters are especially urged to develop color guard elements that can be combined to show SAR presence in local communities.
Commemorations and Celebrations:
   Participate in commemorating events and historical sites relative to the Revolutionary War.
Education Support:
   Teacher of the year program
   History Fair
   CD teaching aid (free from NSSAR.. Give to your local school counselors and history teachers)
   Valley Forge Teacher Seminar

   Public service spots for radio & TV
Veterans: 
   Partnership with the American Legion
   Visits to the Veterans hospitals
   Present war service medals to our members
   Archive compatriot military service records
Community Support:
   Law Enforcement Award
   Fire and Emergency Response Award
   Good Citizenship Medals
Grave Marking:
   Participate in the registration and marking of the graves of our Revolutionary War Ancestors.

1. Youth Program:  Link to sar.org for all contest rules and entry forms. Contact your local chapter chairmen to activate.

ROTC/JROTC Awards: Each chapter chairman selects and manages the awards schools early spring obtaining recommendations from the unit commanders. Revolutionary War Uniforms are recommended for the SAR presenters to identify SAR to the Cadets and public. Please arrange for someone to take well lighted photos of the presenter and the Cadet (and the Unit commander if desired).
