Flag Day was honored by SAR Chapters throughout the state.

In Maysville, members of the George Mason Chapter collaborated with local DAR and CAR chapters to hold their Flag Day Picnic, and present a program on clothing and other items used during the Revolutionary War.  This program was held at the Maysville-Mason County Recreation Park.

In Louisville, the Louisville-Thruston Chapter collaborated with the Bowman Field Civil Air Patrol to perform a Flag Retirement Ceremony at Resthaven Cemetery.

The Colonel James Harrod Chapter celebrated the 250th Anniversary of the United States Army at Old Fort Harrod State Park.  Unfortunately a planned Flag Retirement had to be rescheduled due to weather.

The Simon Kenton Chapter, in partnership with the Rebecca Bryan Boone and the Captain John Lillard Chapters of the DAR, held their annual Flag Day Picnic at the Lou Hartfield Memorial Park.  During this event, they honored the US Army on their 250th Anniversary!

The Big Sandy Chapter held a Flag Day Program at the Jenny Wiley State Park.  In addition to a presentation, they conducted a flag retirement ceremony.
