Educating and Inspiring Our Future
The Kentucky SAR actively participates in School Days events statewide and beyond, offering hands-on learning experiences about the past for children of all ages. These living history exhibits cover diverse topics such as flint and steel fire starting, quill pen letter writing, linen production from flax, 18th-century cooking, and colonial household items. These events highlight the stark differences between the daily lives of today's children and their ancestors, encouraging thoughtful reflection.
