Compatriot Funeral - E. Bruce Dungan

Colonel Daniel Boone Founder and benevolent compatriot E. Bruce Dungan passed away Saturday after a brief illness. His funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 25 at First Presbyterian Church, 416 West Main Street, Frankfort, with a graveside service following at the Frankfort Cemetery. We have been asked to attend the service and provide a color guard for the graveside service. If you can attend and participate, please let me know directly (502) 320-9294.

245th Anniversary of Ruddles Station Massacre

Please join the Lafayette Chapter and the KYSSAR Eastern Brigade Color Guard as we honor the memory of the hundreds of Patriots, Pioneers, and family members that were massacred at Ruddle’s Station in June of 1780.

At 10:00 am the SAR Color Guard will post the Colors and fire a Flintlock salute. At 11:00 am we will move to the Lair Family Crypt to Sound Taps and perform Mourn on Arms in memory of some of the slaughtered that had their remains moved to this crypt in the cliff overlooking the Licking River.

18th Century Civilian Dress Suggested but not required, Continental Line is acceptable.
