The Kentucky SAR wishes to thank all of the Youth Contest participants for their enormous efforts on their entries.  The winners of each contest was announced on March 8th at the Kentucky SAR Annual Spring Meeting.

The Governor Isaac Shelby Chapter held a Color Guard Training event yesterday in Middletown, Kentucky.  This allowed  existing Color Guard members as well as Kentucky SAR members interested in joining the Color Guard to learn rifle drills, firing sequence, marching, posting and retirement of the colors, salutes and honors, wreath presentation, and flag folding.  There was a good turnout from several state chapters.

Steve Mallory, of the Colonel Stephen Trigg Chapter, earned his twentieth Patriot Grave Marking Medal during the Kentucky SAR State Meeting in Louisville this afternoon.  This means that Compatriot Mallory has honored 300 patriots during his time with the SAR.  Congratulations and Huzzah!
